Frenchman’s Creek

Townhouse Development – Friendswood, Texas

Frenchman’s Creek is a residential subdivision developed in the attractive suburban community of Friendswood, Texas near Houston. The site presented some unusual challenges in that seasonal changes in the adjacent Clear Creek produce occasional flooding of the adjacent properties. The siting and design of the individual units was undertaken in a manner to both avoid potential flood areas but also to place all living areas above the 100-year flood plain, enclosing the lower portions of the structures with skirting and landscaping.  The 48 unit complex includes a boat launching ramp, a sports and health complex and an integrated pedestrian walkway linking all units and facilities in the development.
